David's Taxi Service Newport Isle of Wight

David's taxis service is an independent family run taxi and private hire service operating out of the Isle of Wight capital town of Newport. Supplying taxis to all of the nearby surrounding areas including Carisbrooke, Gunville, Shide & Newport town.

Davids Taxis supply 1 to 4 seat cars and 1 - 8 seat taxi minibuses. (Please always check for vehicle availability). Davids Taxis are also pet & dog friendly.
For larger passenger groups we can supply additional vehicles depending on the size of your group.

The taxis are based right in the heart of the Isle of Wight with Cowes and East Cowes ferry terminals just a short journey time away.

All of the fares and prices that are charged are based on the Isle of Wight Councils metered tariff although discounted rates and deals are available. Please just ask.

They are also happy to accept card payments. You can pay in the taxis by Cash, Visa, Mastercard or Contactless. No additional fees or surcharges.

What Areas of the Isle of Wight do you cover?

Our main operating area is Newport Isle of Wight and the surrounding areas, but we can also cover the whole of the Island if you need us too. Just give us a call.

How many passengers can you carry?

We can accommodate between 1 and 4 people in the cars and between 1 - 8 in the taxi minibuses at any one time.

Do your taxis carry dogs?

Yes we do. Our drivers are really dog and pet friendly.

Do you take credit and debit cards?

Yes we do. Visa & Mastercard and all contactless payment devices including Apple Pay, Google Pay and contactless cards. Current card limit is £100 for contactless. (Sorry not Amex).

What fares or prices do you charge?

We use the council sealed meters for fares (revised June 2022) in the taxis.

Do you offer discounts for regular trips?

Yes we can do. Please call us.

Do you carry or supply baby / child seats?

The simple answer is no. However we are more than happy to assist you if you would like to supply your own
